My name is @abearcalledpaddington and my assistants run this website. They kindly gave me a little space to make my own.
My Instagram is filled with quotes, Haikus, my thoughts, my friends and the people I meet while I travel.
What started as a lighthearted adventure in 2016 when Livia and Sam “borrowed” the family teddy for a European trip, soon turned into a full-time journey around the world. They began sharing playful postcard-style photos on Instagram, much to the family’s delight. By 2018, as full-time travelers, they launched @abearcalledpaddington, a dedicated account showcasing global adventures through the eyes of a small, curious bear.
Now, after more than seven years, across six continents and more than 48 countries, abearcalledpaddington continues to explore the world, embracing new cultures, flavors, and breathtaking destinations.
Guided by the motto “If we are kind and polite, the world will be right” the account remains respectful, open-minded, and eager to learn, free from politics or divisions, simply celebrating the beauty of travel in an absolutely unique way.
Every photo is taken from abearcalledpaddington’s perspective, often sparking curiosity from passersby who can’t help but ask, “Why is that bear having his photo taken?” The answer? “It’s for Instagram!” usually followed by smiles and excitement when they receive a calling card and learn about the journey.
With an open heart and adventurous spirit, they seek out both famous landmarks and hidden gems, always eager to connect with locals, experience life through their eyes and bring a smile to everyones faces along the way.
@therealmrmule and @ltulipa describe themselves as ‘assistants’ who help Paddington with travel, photos and stories, and all the comments he receives. It’s like a full time job. They can spent up to 4 or 5 hours each day taking and editing photos, writing content and replying to comments.
We have also worked with Paddington & Co Ltd and their PR company Carousel Ltd to create social media content, videos, stories and more.
